Call for Papers

The explosion growth of IoT devices has led to an unprecedented amount of data and computing demands. Edge computing expands the limited computing and storage capabilities of these devices and brings them closer to enterprise applications, so it has grown rapidly in recent years. This approach to data at source brings powerful benefits such as better response times and better bandwidth availability. At the same time, since the majority of edge devices such as mobile phones, laptops, UAVs are battery-powered, it is critical to focus on the energy efficiency. On one hand, it is worth studying how to provide the optimized service with limited energy. On the other hand, the development of energy technology has brought new opportunities and challenges to edge computing, e.g., wireless energy transfer technology. The symposium provides a platform for academic researchers and industry professionals to exchange the latest advances in energy-aware edge computing.

The workshop solicits submissions from areas relating to advanced algorithms/applications in energy-aware edge computing. The interested topics include but not limited to:

  • Energy-aware network architecture for edge computing
  • Energy-aware artificial intelligence mechanisms for edge computing
  • Energy-aware edge server deployment and scheduling strategies
  • Energy-aware network protocols for edge computing
  • Energy-aware communication mechanisms for edge computing
  • Energy-aware cloud-edge-device collaborative mechanisms
  • Energy-aware offloading mechanisms
  • Energy-aware mobile crowdsensing mechanisms for edge computing
  • Energy-aware network traffic measurement for edge computing
  • Energy-aware incentive mechanisms for edge computing
  • Energy-aware privacy protection mechanisms for edge computing
  • Typical energy-aware edge computing applications
  • Practical energy-aware edge computing platforms
  • Low power IoT networks
  • Energy management and dispatch mechanisms for edge computing
  • Edge computing with wireless rechargeable sensor networks
  • Novel energy replenishment technologies for edge computing

Submitted manuscripts must be prepared according to LNCS Proceedings and submitted in PDF file format. The manuscript should be no longer than 12 pages with Springer LNCS Format. Submitted manuscripts must not contain previously published material or be under consideration for publication in another conference or journal. At least one author of any accepted paper must register and present the paper at the conference. After registration, selected accepted papers will be recommended to SCI journal SPECIAL ISSUE, such as COMNET, Sensors. We will plan it in the future.
